Our Baggage Policy

In the course of normal baggage handling during travel, your luggage may show evidence of wear and tear. Like most airlines, we won't accept liability for normal damage to checked luggage, including:

• broken wheels or feet
• lost pull straps
• minor cuts and scratches
• damage resulting from over-packing
• damage to retractable luggage handles
• fragile or perishable items damaged during transport
• items unsuitably packed or unsuitable for transportation
• damage resulting from inspections by the authorities.

Important Carry On Luggage Information for Economy Class Passengers

Compliant carry-on luggage is an important component for airline safety. Please ensure your carry-on baggage is clearly labelled with your name, and fits within the mandatory dimensions and weight specifications for your flight.

Luggage testing units are available at all check-in counters to help our guests to comply with these requirements.

Bulky Items

Please note that Air Vanuatu does not offer special allowances for sporting equipment such as golf clubs, surfboards and dive gear.

PREPAID EXCESS BAGGAGE

Additional baggage allowance can be purchased on Air Vanuatu operated services up to 24 hours prior to departure. Prepaid excess baggage service is available for purchase online on the Air Vanuatu website.

Conditions:

• Air Vanuatu Operated or Air Vanuatu code share flight.
• Domestic and International flights must be issued on the same ticket. Separate bookings will not permit the increased allowance on any Air Vanuatu operated domestic flights.
• Domestic and International flights must be same day connection within 24 hours.
